April 26, 2008: Sarah and Glenn

Sarah and Glenn were married this Saturday during the gorgeous weather that was the calm between the crazy storms we had. Is that a good sign or what?

I truly had a hard time narrowing down the photos for the blog as there were so many wonderful moments at this wedding. Glenn and Sarah’s friends and families could not be more thrilled that these two came together. The love and happiness at this wedding was tangible. I wish I could have bottled it up, but since I couldn’t, I was honored to be a part of it for a few hours.

The wedding took place at Vista West Ranch in Dripping Springs and was coordinated by the always amazing Becky (along with Kathy and Veda) from Something to Celebrate. Catering was by Primizie and flowers were by Petal Pushers.

Also, big thanks to the lovely and talented Lisa Woods for second shooting with me.

Sarah and Glenn – thank you for letting me get to know you and for being completely wonderful every step of the way! I loved being a part of your day. Enjoy Belize and on to the pics!

April 26th is not only Sarah and Glenn’s wedding date, but is also Glenn’s Grandparents’ anniversary. They would have been married 69 years on Saturday. Grandpa is no longer with us, but to honor such a wonderful day, Sarah presented Grandma with her bouquet. Sniffle.

Rings

Manly singing

Girly singing

I’m not quite sure what was going on here as they were giggling too hard to explain it, but it sure was cute.

Sarah’s Bridals

Here are the Bridals I promised you. Sarah is such a classic beauty and this dress…….sigh. So pretty.
Sarah, her awesome mom Fran and I had a great time kicking around the capitol. Here are the results. I’ve been itching to share these with you and now that Sarah is married and off to Belize – I can!

The wind gave us a good crazy veil outtake.

Sarah chose this one to display at her wedding.

An Extraordinary Day

I had the privilege of spending the morning with Ron, Janet, Clay, Carrie, Dean, Bill, Susie, Olivia and Maggie this past weekend. I shot out at Ron and Janet’s home in Salado as part of an Extraordinary Day package. They are an amazing family and I had so much fun. Thanks so much for welcoming me into your family for a morning!

Here is a peek into their day.

Family Portrait

Grandma and Grandpa just got a new antique merry go round. Needless to say, it was a big hit.

Baby Dean was very interested in me. He couldn’t quite figure out if I was a new Aunt he had or some random cousin or just a weird lady with a big black machine in front of her face.

I asked Olivia to show me the flower she had picked during the portrait session and this is what happened. Being two rules.

This one just cracks me up.

Lots of swinging

Whee!!!

Olivia was trying to help push Maggie, but misjudged the distance a little.

Reading with Grandma

Sleeping monkey in a tree.

Dad and Grandpa are like “I don’t know how she got up there.”

A little hoops action. Seriously? Is this the best backyard ever or what?

All in all, a VERY big day.

April 16, 2008: Caroline & Jonathan: Engaged!

What a joyful couple! Caroline and Jonathan really enjoy being around each other and their delight is infectious. We had a great time hiking around Wild Basin this week (photography AND a work out!) and capturing some fun moments.

Their wedding is only a month away and I loved hearing about all the details. I can’t wait! See you guys soon and thanks for the wonderful evening!

Jonathan knows why I put this picture on the blog and now he knows I’m right.
That’s all I’m saying…. ;)

April 13, 2008: Karie & Ryan – Engaged!

More engagement session fun this weekend with Karie & Ryan (& Jake the dog; more on him in a minute)! They are one of those couples that is so comfortable and sweet around each other; You definitely know that they are a good match.

We headed out to catch the last of the bluebonnets (which, sadly, were not that great this year) and shoot in some other outdoor locations.

Thanks so much for a wonderful afternoon you two. The company plus the weather made it a perfect afternoon.

Both of them have one of the better ‘non-smiley’ looks I’ve come across.

And here is Jake. Oh, I have such dog envy. He is a sweetie.

April 12, 2008: Sarah’s Bridals

I shot Sarah’s bridal portraits this weekend and they are beautiful. She is a brunette Grace Kelley and is going to stun people at her wedding on April 26th.

But you can’t see them yet. Nope. Stop begging, it’s embarrassing. You’ll have to wait two weeks. It’s worth it, I promise.
