May 28, 2008: Chris & Jessica: Engaged

Chris & Jessica met me up on Mt. Bonnell Wednesday for some perfect evening lighting conditions. Add in the fact that they are in looove, pretty darn easy on the eyes and incredibly nice people and you get a really nice photo session.

Thanks so much you guys! Only one month to go – I’ll see you soon.

Enjoy!

May 24, 2008: Kathryn & Daniel

Hey! If your name is Debbie or Bill and your kids are Kathryn and Daniel, then stop reading right now!!! I’ll wait….

OK, so this was a top secret anniversary mission by Kathryn and Daniel. Apparently, they used to get brother/sister pictures taken every year, but with kids and moving and just general stuff getting in the way, the tradition lapsed….until this year!! Woo! We had so much fun in downtown. Adult siblings are a blast to shoot and these two were (as most of my clients are) up for anything.

Thanks for being so fun you guys! (And for being so understanding about my early equipment issues – darn technology!)

Enjoy!

May 18, 2008: Ashley & Nathan

Ashley & Nathan! These two wonderful people were married at Hamilton Twelve this past Sunday in front of their very happy family and friends.

Despite the heat, they had a very meaningful and sweet ceremony followed by a laid-back reception. It really fit the two of them perfectly.

Thanks to Melissa for helping me out with this one!

Enjoy!

Reading a note from her Groom

This was a really lovely prayer circle of their families at the end of the ceremony.

The Rings

Head’s up!

You have to love Dad.

Did I mention that it was about a billion degrees on Sunday?

This seemed like the perfect end to the day.

Have fun in Cali you two! See you soon!

May 17, 2008: Caroline and Jonathan

Oh these two! Love them! You may remember Caroline and Jonathan from their engagement session a few weeks back. As I suspected, their wedding did not disappoint! They had a beautiful ceremony at Villa Antonia after the storm clouds cleared out followed by a rockin’ reception.

I was chatting with Caroline on Monday, going over the timeline and details, and she all of a sudden said “I can’t stop smiling and it’s only Monday!”. That, my friends, is how you know a wedding is going to be perfect.

Thanks to Tyler Schmitt for helping me out with this one!!!

Enjoy the images and have a blast in Greece (take me with you!!!!).

The Longhorns got to wear orange and the Aggie got to wear maroon.

See? SO happy! I have about 20 pictures of Caroline laughing like this.

So funny story – I was shooting the cake cutting and one of the guests was chatting with me. He said “Cool cake!”. I said “I know, it’s awesome, right?” Then guest says “It reminds me of college”. I am now confused. Was he in a pirate society in college? He is a fan of the maritime industries? I have no idea. THEN, guest says “Ohhhhhhh…wait, it’s a treasure chest – I thought it was a keg!” I love my job.

A pile of shoes in the corner – you know what that means right?

Crazy dancing!

The getaway – bubbles and rose petals. Who says you have to settle for just one?

Thanks so much you two! I enjoyed every minute!

Cue Dramatic Music

Just a head’s up reminder that my wedding pricing will be changing June 1. I’m not doubling my pricing (not even close), just making a few changes to the packages and my contract.

If you meet with me in the month of May about your wedding, current pricing, for you, will be effective until June 30th.

Have a great weekend (I’ll be at TWO weddings! Whee!) and let’s put all this business talk behind us with some kickin’ images on Monday.

As a pallette cleanser, here is one of the Little Dictator. (Two and 1/2 is kicking my butt, y’all)

Casey, Rhonda, Gracie & Will

Fun family today, blog readers!
Despite the steamy weather yesterday (and I mean steamy – I was pretty gross about 5 minutes into this session) we had a blast shooting in downtown.

Will and Gracie were so well behaved and did pretty much everything I asked them too. Will is only a few months older than my daughter and was so much more cooperative! I later found out that might have had something to do with a bribe of ice cream. But whatever works, I say. Towards the end of the session, he’d ask ‘Is it time for ice cream now?’ Cuties.

Just Mom & Dad, because they were once Casey & Rhonda

I love Gracie’s sassy haircut.

Thanks again you four. I had so much fun. I hope you enjoyed burgers and milkshakes after the shoot!
