AltF Sneek Peek!

I am neglecting the ‘ol blog at the moment and I apologize, but because I know she’s probably looking, here is one of Adrienne and Garrod from the workshop last Friday. It’s such a shame they’re not better looking isn’t it?

I’ll let others do the legwork for me…Very Altf Update

OK, so crazy busy day at the moment, but I wanted to give you a quick update on Very Altf. Ummmm….awesome!!! The Coopers are really amazing people as well as photographers and I feel very excited about everything I learned. In addition to my student-status, Conor and I were the morning models. That was fun and I think an incredible way for me to understand what I put all of you through during a session.

I’ve got my own photos that I will post soon, but go HERE and HERE and HERE and HERE for some images.

Does that other couple look familiar? YES! It’s Adrienne and Garrod! They very kindly agreed to have John Michael Cooper feature them in one of his ‘Anti-Bridals’. They were such good sports and the final images are HOT! I love them. Thanks so much you two!

I’m out learnin’ today

I know it’s startling to hear, but I don’t know everything about photography…….

I am going to be at a seminar all day today learnin’ myself up good. I like to go to a seminar or conference at least once a year so I can keep things fresh and pick up a new trick or two. I also get to meet photographers from all around the state and country when I attend these things and that’s such a great bonus.

I’m not going to have access to email for the day (because I’m lame and have a super old phone that doesn’t have email capability), but please call if anything important comes up. I’ll try to return your calls during the breaks.

I’ll post pictures and give you a full report when I get back! If you’re curious, it’s THIS seminar.

July 19, 2008: Allison & Hank

Allison and Hank were married this past Saturday at The Episcopal Church if the Good Shepherd in Tarrytown, followed by a wonderful and super fun reception at Austin Country Club. Allison and Hank have a lovely, easy way with each other. They are so natural around each other and it’s great to see. The two of them also have a great style and it was reflected in all of their details. It’s been such a pleasure working with them and their families these last few months.

The day was coordinated beautifully by Kristi Treadwell and Rachel Stepanov from Barbara’s Brides and I’ll tell you that if I was getting married again I wouldn’t hesitate to have them work my wedding. They were great as was Amy with Austin Country Club.

More vendors are listed below, but let’s get to the pictures shall we?

Allison’s fantastic mermaid -style dress.

A little hair detail I like.

I made this picture of Allison look a little vintage because I really feel like she is a timeless looking bride. She has a really lovely style and I know that 50 years from now this picture will still look classic.

A few details.

At one point in the evening, Allison came over to me and said “I think we’re going to go lick the ice sculpture”. That’s possibly my most favorite thing I’ve EVER been told at a wedding.

Awesome band = awesome dancing

This is Allison’s mom rocking out in the center here. Get after it Cindy!

Thanks again for having me at your wedding! I am so happy I got to be a part of it! Enjoy St. Lucia!

Cake – Michelle’s Pastisserie

Band – The Big Time

Floral – Last Petal

Coordinator – Barbara, Kristi & Rachel at Barbara’s Brides

My TV Boyfriend: Tim Gunn

So at this point in my life, with a job and a toddler and a husband and a house, I have very little time for TV, which is a shame because I really like television. However, I always have time for Project Runway, which to my delight, started back up last night. It’s sort of funny that I love this show as much as I do, because, honestly, I can’t sew on a button. The things that these designers do seems like magic to me.

As my post says, I love Tim Gunn (I know, me and the rest of America). I am completely in awe of his tact and really brilliant way of giving constructive criticism without making people feel bad. Did you watch last night? My favorite moment of was when he told all of the designers they were being slackers and they all looked like they had dissapointed their dad. Plus, they Austin Scarlett on as a guest judge! Heaven!

Anyhoodle, I know I’ve had lots of random posts this week, but I’m back to work on Saturday when the faboo Allison and Hank get married!

See you soon!
