Will & Kristen: Engaged!

Will & Kristen! My latest out of town couple. Will is a recent transplant to our fair city, but Kristen is a student in Manchester…England. They are planning a wedding in Houston but for now wanted some Austin flavored Engagement photos.

These two are so genuine and funny. I knew that this session was turning out well when I asked them to do a little walking and they said “Is it OK if we skip?”.

Thanks so much you guys! Have a safe trip back to school Kristen!

“Oh, that’s a nice one!” as my Mom would say (love you Mom!).

I’m so into low contrast lately. Is it just me?

Jackie’s's Bridal Session

I completely forgot to post these after Jackie & Matt’s wedding and that is a shame because I love these.

Enjoy a sample of Jackie’s Bridal session, which we shot down in Wimberly.

Audrey & Ryan: Engaged!

Another late blog post!!!!! But I’m catching up slowly but surely.

Audrey and Ryan – I think I really like these two (surprise, right! I love everybody.) They are so fun and I really enjoyed watching them interact with each other. I’m so lucky, I get to take pictures of love personified.

They also endured ‘what Shannon looks like after a late night wedding’ on a Saturday morning. So, you know, extra props for that.

I just love engagement sessions because I have all this time to chat with couples and I find out all kinds of cool things about how they met, how the wedding plans are going, etc. What a fun morning – thanks you guys!

Pictures ahoy!

ooh – shadowy!

I realize that everyone may not like this one, but I LOVE it! It’s, as Conor says, ‘an arty one’.

Kira & John

Oh my….I am so glad I finally get to post these for you! My computer and I are friends again.

I had the good fortune to spend 08-08-08 with the lovely Kira & John. Their wedding was intimate and extremely meaningful. Every detail of the ceremony and reception was a reflection of the wonderful couple they are. I’m so happy that I got to spend this day with them. Congratulations you two and thanks for allowing me to witness this incredible event.

The ceremony and reception took place at the Four Seasons on Town Lake and, as you might expect, they did everything possible to make the event a huge success. They have an incredible team of people.

I love when grooms send a little note to the bride before the ceremony.

Beaming & radiant – it was like this all day long.

My new contender for best first look. Ever.

Laughing with Dad before the ceremony

Their families surrounded them during their ring exchange and vows. Really amazing.

Occasionally, I fight my instinct to be all up in the middle of things. I couldn’t be happier I did. I hope that every couple can feel this way right after they are married.

Coming Attractions…

My computer and I are having a little tiff.

And before all the Mac people start telling me to switch, it’s actually not a problem with Microsoft Vista. I have no issues with Vista. I love my PC – that’s not changing. I’m having some hardware issues that my IT department (i.e. Conor) are fixing.

All of your images are safe – I’m just a little behind on blogging. Look for new wedding & portrait updates this weekend.

Have a lovely week!

Smooches!

~Shannon
