Jackson: Newborn

Remember Jen?

Well look who showed up two weeks early. Newborns are so unreliable. But all is forgiven, Jackson. Look at what a sweetie he is!!!! I’m so glad you’re here and I can’t wait to see what you have in store for me this year!

I love the art in his room. Savannah has some art from this same company in her room too.

OMG! I can’t believe you are kissing me in a picture – this is sooo embarrassing!

Oh well, I guess it’s not so bad.

Happy Turkey Day!

What am I thankful for today?

1. The fam

2. The friends

3. The relative stability that my life has. I can be a grump and complain with the best of them, but I am so lucky to be a young (ish) woman living in this country in this age. Things could be far worse.

4. YOU!

5. The White Family Thanksgiving roll recipe. I can’t tell you how good these are. I’ll post the recipe and some photos soon.

6. Stretchy pants.

Have a great day everyone: Be safe, enjoy whomever you are with and eat lots!

Cory, Jennifer & Alex

Get ready for squeal-worthy cuteness. My new pal Alex looooved the camera lady (and I loved him).

He is eight months old and that is truly the golden age of baby-hood. Such a great age. It also helps when you have parents like Cory and Jennifer. It’s very fun watching people interact with their first-born. Everything is new and amazing.

I also think this post might be a first for me – no B&W images. I love me some B&W, but I think Alex’s stripey shirt made go for bold color on this one.

Thanks for spending the morning with me!

My new favorite ‘throw the baby’ image.

Grant

So this week is going to be catch up time on blog posts. Plus I’ll be training my stomach for Thanksgiving.

First up this week is my buddy, Grant.

Love this little monkey. He is sweet inside and out and was just a joy for me to photograph. He even said Savannah could be ‘one of’ his girlfriends. Apparently, he is quite in demand with the female pre-school set.

Erica & Josh: Married People

Forgive me if I am little punchy – this was my last wedding of 2008! I could not asked for a better send off though. Also, punchiness usually means a HUGE blog post – my powers of editing are weakened from so many awesome weddings this year.

My lovely, lovely couple Erica & Josh were married at Star Hill Ranch this past weekend. I adore these two! They were last seen here being adorable in their engagement photos and they are also pals with Adrienne and Garrod, two other really amazing people, who referred me.

The event coordination was by Becky ( & Lorena & Sarah) of Something to Celebrate and and I will again state my case for (if the budget allows) hiring a Wedding Coordinator. It’s really one of the best decisions that you can make and will make things so easy on you during the planning process and especially the wedding day.

Congratulations you two – I am beyond thrilled for you. Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your day.

Enough blabble – let’s see some images!  (Full vendor info at the bottom of the post – trust me, you’ll want to know)

The raddest flower girl of the year.

Their officiant was an old friend and she was great! Look at her face as well as Josh’s when Erica was coming down the aisle. Sarah, nice work!

Portrait time.

So I stumbled upon Table 8 (Table “Ocho” as the cool kids called it) playing “Apple Roulette”.  It’s a bit involved to explain here. The ‘winner’ is in the center there.

Details

So are you as excited as I was about this set list from the awesome band?

Hora! Loooove it!

So….good Hora huh?

Double dutch action.

The Band (The Fatal Attractions) was fabulous. There was a full dance floor all night. Do you need an 80′s cover band? Then you should hire them.

The drummer (Hi Benji!) also served as a Groomsman in this wedding.

Sweet ride

I am about to give a massive vendor shout out because a ton of people made this wedding incredible. Here we go:

Delightful Second Shooter: Bonnie Berry

Event Coordination: Becky Brock (& Lorena & Sara) of Something to Celebrate. Hire them NOW!

Venue: Star Hill Ranch

Catering: Dagar’s

Cake: Michelle’s Patisserie

Floral: Melanie Tipton with Last Petal

Band: The Fatal Attractions

Makeup: Katie Astoria with Modern Muse Makeup
