Jordan + Jolie: Hamilton 12 Wedding Photography

There were very few people that were sad to see the drought end on September 12, 2009. Those people included everyone involved with Jolie and Jordan’s Hamilton Twelve wedding. But despite the rain, they had a lovely, chic and completely romantic wedding day filled with lots of love and beautiful details. It’s never great to have to go to Plan B when the weather doesn’t cooperate, but sometimes the rain adds a moody, dramatic quality to your wedding day that you just can’t get with blazing sun. I loved it. Jolie and Jordan also handled the rain with grace – they were great sports and even ventured out into the drizzle with me for their portraits.

I enjoyed Jolie and Jordan’s enthusiasm for each other and their wedding so much. They were just happy to be with each other – it certainly didn’t matter what the weather was.

There was a great team of vendors working this wedding including Becky Brock and Lorena Molina, who coordinated the day beautifully. I also had my Tali with me. Other vendors are listed at the end.

Thanks so much you two! I hope that Italy was wonderful!!!!!

The details were amazing. The beautiful swirl pattern was carried throughout the wedding (even on the wine bottles!) and I just adored that Paloma’s Nest bowl.

Jordan and Jolie are a Longhorn and Aggie, respectively (just like my husband and I!). The Longhorn cake was allowed as long as Jolie got to ‘Saw Varsity’s Horns off’ (SHORT! WHOOP! – Sorry, that’s a habit)

OK, I would like to launch a campaign to bring back the traveling outfit!! Look how cute these two are in their ‘Get-a-way Outfits’! Plus, as Jolie told me, it was an excuse for more shoe shopping.

Jolie: Austin Capitol Building Bridal Session

Jolie was married this past Saturday in a romantic, rainy ceremony. That is a post for another day.

She is currently enjoying Italy, so why don’t we peek at her Bridals.

Jolie is one of those people that is effortlessly stylish. She has a great knack for blending vintage and modern – wait until you see the wedding. She is also nice and smart and has an air of contentedness around her that is contagious. We shot these portraits at the capitol building on her mom’s birthday! I hope you like them as much as I do.

This is the one she chose for display at the wedding. It looked amazing as a large canvas! Never be afraid to choose a slightly less traditional shot for your display.

Nicole + Tyson: Gruene Hall Engagement Session

I love this engagement session!

Mostly, because I adore Nicole and Tyson. I met them at the bridal show last September and after I gave them some information and it was stashed into a bag, Tyson leaned over and told me ‘That’s the good bag’. First of all – I made the good bag! Second of all, what a smart way to work the bridal show. Anyhoo, this was another one of the ‘so, so hot’ engagement sessions. We were excited because it was 99 degrees instead of 104, but it was hot none the less.

We had a lovely evening strolling around downtown Gruene. Nicole and Tyson did a wonderful job of choosing locations that are important to them as a couple. They spend a lot of time in Gruene together and also enjoy a little shuffleboard, as you will see below. They are also the nicest, most fun people to be around. I enjoyed my time with them quite a bit.

I can’t wait for your wedding! Not much longer to go!

Melanie + Brad: Vista West Ranch Wedding Photography

Melanie and Brad were married at one of my favorite venues, Vista West Ranch. The day was hot, but all of the details coordinated perfectly with their late summer date. It was a gorgeous day.

Melanie and Brad are my ideal couple – so laid back, in love and completely set on enjoying their wedding day.

The day was run perfectly by Wendee and Lindsey of Lucie’s Events and the floral was by Petal Pushers, and as usual, the flowers were flawless.

I also have to thank my tireless second shooter, Tali for another wonderful job.

Thanks so much for having me at your wedding day Melanie and Brad! I loved being a part of it!

Savannah: My Baby

I realize I haven’t updated you on my kiddo in a while. I will tell you that this picture pretty much sums her up. We were at lunch and she is singing. She does nothing half way.
