The Livestrong Fruit Run 2011 | Personal

Back in 2009, I ran in the Livestrong Challenge to honor my awesome mother in law, Bridget, who was battling colon cancer at the time. I know that you constantly get solicitations for some cause or another, so I went to what I know – humor, to get you to help me out.

I pledged that if I raised $1000, I would run the 5K in a banana suit. With over $1200 in donations that year, I was good to my word and this is me crossing the finish line…

Man that was a fun time.  I am running in the race again this year, with several more people to run in honor of, and unfortunately, in memory of. I’m not one to do the same thing twice, so THIS year, if I raise $1500, I’ll be running the race in a pineapple suit. Yep, that’s right – it has a big crazy headpiece and everything. It’s going to be epic.

So, if you’d like to see me run 3.2 miles as a pineapple, click HERE to donate. No donation is too small. Thanks for your support.

Cancer, you suck.

XOXO

Shannon

Published | Lori and Jason’s Wedding at The Driskill Hotel

It’s always a nice way to start off the morning learning that a wedding I photographed has been published, especially when it’s a couple that is as fabulous as Lori and Jason. I still smile thinking about their glamorous and FUN wedding at The Driskill Hotel this spring.

They are featured on Modernly Wed - Inspiration for the Modern Bride. Check it out. Thanks so much for the feature!Lori and Jason's Austin Wedding at The Driskill hotel published on Modern WedLori and Jason's Old Hollywood wedding at The Driskill Hotel

Austin Wedding Photography | Amy & Kep’s Rehearsal

Hi!

Up today is Amy & Kepper’s Tin Star Ranch rehearsal dinner!

Amy and Kep live out of town and wanted to bring a real Texas flair to their rehearsal dinner for all of their out of town guests. They chose the Tin Star Ranch in Fredericksburg, had barbeque, Shiner Bock and margaritas. This place is seriously a ranch – check out those scenic vistas! There was nothing to see except ranch land, rustic charm and big Texas sky. Kepper told me they have sharpshooting contests there as well – cool! I almost feel like I should save this post for the winter when we (eventually) get rain, so we can remember how gorgeous the sky is during summer.

This was my first time to meet Amy and Kep in person and both they and their families made me right at home. It was a great night of celebration. Their Becker Vineyards wedding will be coming up next!

Programming Note

Ugh! I had to disable to voting software for a while – there is a security issue with a small part of it. There have been no issues on this website, but better safe than sorry!

I am contacting the developer to get an update of the script and hope to have it back up and running soon!

Because voting is fun!
