It is always a fun afternoon when you get to photograph a couple that has an easy, natural with each other. That’s how you know it’s a good match! I also love it when couples incorporate objects or places, or in this case, a DOGGY that is important to them.  Rebecca told me that she’s had Libby since her and Marcus started dating – cute! She was a wonderful addition to the shoot and a perfectly behaved little princess too.

Also, check out the red shirt that Rebecca is wearing – it’s the perfect color for her and looked amazing against all the bright backdrops of South Congress. It’s a good lesson in knowing what works for you and rocking it! (Marcus – you looked good too!)

Heather + Maurice! This is a part one of two post as I shot Heather & Maurice’s engagement pictures just a week before their wedding! So…wedding photos coming soon too. But let’s get to know them in a casual setting shall we?

I loved their clothing choices. Casual, with bright and punchy colors and Heather has some of the cutest hair ever! I love it! We trucked around the Eastside neighborhood, which I love more every day and found some new spots to shoot.

Our studio neighbor, the Lance Armstrong Foundation got “Flocked”. This is when someone puts about 150 pink flamingos in your front yard, with love of course. I enjoyed shooting with these guys.

Akuzike and Solo are stylish, tons of fun, very nice to look at and in love! You heard it here first – that’s the perfect recipe for kickin’ engagement photos.

It’s always very interesting to me when a couple books me for their engagement sessions and I’m not shooting their wedding. I can’t wait to find out about their wedding because it’s usually outside of Austin and I like hearing about planning weddings in different locations. Well, Akuzike and Solo are getting married in Uganda followed by another reception in Malawi! Cool! Unfortunately, I will not be going, but I cannot wait to see the photos.

We braved the 99 millionth day of 100+ temps to do a little shooting around town and I really enjoyed getting to know these two. Thanks so much Akuzike & Solo! You guys are great!

I met up with Ashley & Ryan this morning at the lush and beautiful Laguna Gloria to shoot some portraits.

Ashley & Ryan had a very distinct vision for what they wanted out of their portraits. I love when clients have opinions and suggestions!

Despite the heat and a mad search for the security guard to open up the villa, we had a great time and made some classic and fun images together.

Thanks again you two. It was truly a pleasure!

I generally tell couples not to wear the same color for a portrait, but these two proved me wrong. I love how they are in the same color, but are not matchy-matchy. They looked great!

They have a sa-weet car that we worked into a few shots.

And into the Villa (and air conditioning) we go!
