Happy Anniversary to ME!

[caption id="attachment_4610" align="aligncenter" width="900" caption="Austin Wedding Photographer"][/caption]

11 years later plus one amazing little girl and we sure do like each other still….Conor Cunningham is the greatest ya’ll. Our marriage is the reason I have such delight and hope at each wedding I photograph. You all inspire me and remind me of love…every weekend.

XOXO

Personal | Family Photos

You guys want to see MY family photos this year?

My dear, dear friend and talented photographer Kristen shot these for us. It was freezing cold and when I picked my kid up from school before the session, her teacher said “She’s had a really rough day today – not the most well-behaved”. Awesome. So the odds were highly stacked against us, but in a 25 minutes session, Kristen made us some gorgeous photos. I had them made into a holiday-style album, which I am LOVING (as are the grandparents).

I love small albums for portrait sessions! While I am a bit of a mimimalist on my wedding album designs (white pages, clean layouts), I think this album benefitted from a kicky little theme.

Looking forward to 2012…The Best of 2011 posts are coming!

Personal | The Fruit Run

The Livestrong Challenge the other Saturday and as you all helped me raise $1575 (!!!), the pineapple run was on!

The course went through South Congress and the surrounding neighborhoods this year, and I’ll tell you that if there is one group of people that appreciates a person running in a pineapple suit, it’s people that live near South Congress in Austin, Texas. Thanks for all of the ‘Right ON, pineapple!’ and high fives.  My final time was 32:30 and as you can tell by the lovely sweat ring on my hat, it was warm!

Also, a BIG, HUGE thanks to everyone that donated – it was a terrific morning and lots of fun.

Have a great week!

The Livestrong Fruit Run 2011 | Personal

Back in 2009, I ran in the Livestrong Challenge to honor my awesome mother in law, Bridget, who was battling colon cancer at the time. I know that you constantly get solicitations for some cause or another, so I went to what I know – humor, to get you to help me out.

I pledged that if I raised $1000, I would run the 5K in a banana suit. With over $1200 in donations that year, I was good to my word and this is me crossing the finish line…

Man that was a fun time.  I am running in the race again this year, with several more people to run in honor of, and unfortunately, in memory of. I’m not one to do the same thing twice, so THIS year, if I raise $1500, I’ll be running the race in a pineapple suit. Yep, that’s right – it has a big crazy headpiece and everything. It’s going to be epic.

So, if you’d like to see me run 3.2 miles as a pineapple, click HERE to donate. No donation is too small. Thanks for your support.

Cancer, you suck.

XOXO

Shannon
