The portrait side of Shannon Cunningham Photography is now PhotoFrolic.

Late last year, I decided I wanted to create a more boutique experience for my portrait clients. Weddings and portraits are very different and have different needs from consultation to final product. I came to the conclusion that the only way to make this happen was to separate the wedding and portrait sides of my business. Thus PhotoFrolic was born. The name sums up my enthusiastic and fun approach to family portraiture. I think you’ll like the changes from booking, to ordering sessions, consultations, a referral program and varied and fun new final products

I am, of course, still taking wedding commissions, so please help me spread the word about PhotoFrolic and Shannon Cunningham Photography!

It’s not because I haven’t been shooting them, but because I have something in the works. There’s going to be a big change (for the better) to Shannon Cunningham Photography in the next few weeks. There’s going to be a NEW place to see my portrait work – I’m not quite ready to show it to you yet though.

Finally, I have been dragging my feet on setting up holiday mini-session times. These have been a big hit the last few years but I wanted to solicit some input from you all. What would be your perfect mini-session? Include a few high res files? Do you want me to make your Holiday cards? Do you want gorgeous framed wall portrait? Hey Trevor and Stacy…this one needs to be a huge one.  Those faces! Shannon Cunningham is an Austin, Texas wedding and portrait photographer.

Not only is this little one gorgeous, she is the daughter of a very good friend of mine and fellow photographer Tali Wildman. Many of my past couples will remember her as my dee-lightful second shooter. I can’t wait to have her back, but in the meantime I’m thinking motherhood is suiting her just fine.

His dad Josh was in the lovely Chalene and Ethan’s wedding and I was so excited when he and his wife Kara called me up for a photo session. I loved getting to spend time with these three. It was a great morning.

Have I told you all lately  how much I love following babies throughout their first year of life? It is such an amazing transformation in 12 short months. They go from little (adorable) lumps to full blown people. You get to see first time parents go from nervous and completely sleep deprived to total pros at the parenting thing (and probably still a little sleep deprived).

We had to reschedule this session three times due to weather and sick kids, but we made it happen on a chilly December morning down at the Capitol Building and Jackson brought his big personality with him.

I get to see Jackson next year too because he is going to be a big brother. I can’t wait to see him as he takes on his new role and I can’t wait to meet the newest addition!

These two are a big part of Shannon Cunningham Photography. You may remember their cute engagement session, their awesome wedding at Vista West Ranch and of course, their awesome spread in The Knot!

I was thrilled {like jumping up and down} when they told me they were expecting a baby and even more excited when they asked me to document the pregnancy and the baby’s first year of life. WOO-HOO! I can’t wait to meet this little person. Sarah and Glenn are such wonderfuls souls and this little one is SO lucky to be coming into a house with these two as parents. They are going to be amazing!
