Parkside Rehearsal Dinner | Emily & John

So first, of all, yes I do shoot rehearsal dinners. It’s a great way for me to get to know the ‘major players’ before the wedding and you get some great candid shots. I’m very low key about these type of shoots. I generally pull the bride and groom aside for a quick shoot, but mostly, I shoot in a very documentary style. I want you to have fun at your ‘warm-up’ party.

Emily and John had their rehearsal dinner at the fabulous Parkside restaurant on 6th Street. Their terrace is incredible on a nice evening and I really love the upstairs space. It’s industrial and chic, but at the same time very welcoming and homey. I had not met this couple until I showed up to shoot, but they and their families could not have been more welcoming and sweet. I am SO glad I got to know them. They had a beautiful wedding the following day at Wild Onion Ranch, which I did not shoot, but have stalked on another photographer’s blog. Trust me – it was super gorg.

Thanks to Cortney at BZ Events for allowing us to meet!

Saturday Sweetness…on Sunday | Happy Fathers’ Day!

Happy Father’s Day to my husband, Savannah’s Daddy. He is truly the best dad a little girl could hope for and the best partner in this whole parenting craziness that I could ask for.

A big Happy Day to all of you Dads out there.

Austin Bridal Portraits | Emily at The Four Seasons

Heeeey! I’m back. Let’s get to it!

Emily and Trey had a gorgeous wedding and I’m going to show you the heck out of that wedding soon, but before that, Emily had some gorgeous bridals. Let’s start there shall we?

Blue Dior shoes, a windy day, a fun sister and Mom along for the ride and the delightful and always resplendant Emily. A great afternoon.

Major thanks to The Four Seasons Austin for their hospitality, as always.

Out of the Office | Vacation Time!

It is Cunningham Family Time!

I will be out of the office beginning June 1 and will start returning calls and emails on June 13th.

I realize that font is very large and yelly, but I wanted to be sure you saw it! I will have VERY limited access to email and no access to voicemail, so your understanding is appreciated while I give my family some undivided attention.

I’ll see you when I get back (and I’ll probably have some photos to show you as well)!

XOXO

Sunday Sneak Peek | Emily and Trey at The Four Seasons Austin

There is absolutely no way I can sum up Emily and Trey’s Four Seasons Wedding yesterday with JUST one photo.

However, I think this photo sums up the two of them and their absolute delight in each other and for life in general. I can’t wait to show you this wedding.

Austin Engagement Photography | Courtney + Tim

Courtney and Tim! Yippee!

I am so excited to show you this session because 1) I really like the photos and 2) I really REALLY like Courtney and Tim. They are another in the long list of 2011 clients that are out of towners. We met on a cool and overcast morning and trekked all around Austin. By the way, never fear if the skies are cloudy for your photos- I think it adds a great look.

These two have CHEMISTRY. Pretty much all engagement photos have chemistry to them, but these two…it’s like sizzling, crackling, crazy-good chemistry. There is emotion of some form in all of their photos and it is all genuine and real. They are a superb match and I’m glad I know them. I cannot wait for their Vista West Ranch Wedding this fall!
