Luke: Austin Newborn Photography

It was with great joy that I learned about my dear friend Kathryn’s fifth pregnancy last winter. However, sometimes life has a way of throwing you a curve ball. Not only was this pregnancy difficult, little Luke had a 40 day stay in the NICU after an emergency C-section 36 weeks into the pregnancy.

He’s doing great 10 weeks into life and is at home with his family, but I came up to the NICU at Dell Children’s to capture all of his teeny newborn glory. It is the only photo session that I’ve had to ‘scrub in’ for. He weighs a little less than 5 pounds in these photos. Enjoy this little miracle. A zillion kisses to all of you W family.

Daddy was a yell leader at Texas A&M, so, you know, they start them early in this household.

We shot this photo because Heather & Mike have a great shot of Quinn in mid-fit hanging in their house. They absolutely needed a matched set. No babies were harmed in the making of this photo.
