Where did all the portraits go? Plus: Holiday Portraits-design your perfect session

You may or may not have noticed that I haven’t been posting my family, children, baby and newborn photos on the blog recently.

It’s not because I haven’t been shooting them, but because I have something in the works. There’s going to be a big change (for the better) to Shannon Cunningham Photography in the next few weeks. There’s going to be a NEW place to see my portrait work – I’m not quite ready to show it to you yet though.

If you are one of my fabulous portrait clients, or are just interested, sign up for the newsletter, which you can do by clicking on the ‘Newsletter’ tab at the top. It looks like this:

There is going to be something GOOD in store for referrals and the people that refer them.   So if you know anyone in the market for some fun and fabulous portraiture with the Shannon Cunningham stamp on it – pass this along!

Finally, I have been dragging my feet on setting up holiday mini-session times. These have been a big hit the last few years but I wanted to solicit some input from you all. What would be your perfect mini-session? Include a few high res files? Do you want me to make your Holiday cards? Do you want gorgeous framed wall portrait? Did you like it the year I took a portion of the session fee and donated it? What locations have you loved?  Hit me up in the comments or shoot me an email with your thoughts.

xoxo~Shannon

Shannon Cunningham is an Austin, Texas Wedding and Portrait Photographer and she can’t wait to see what happens next.

The New Blog: A Guided Tour

So if you’ve been coming around this part of the interwebs for a while, you may have noticed that I’ve changed a few things up.

First is my new, shiny, fantastique logo designed by The amazing Rachel Titsworth of Titsworth Creative. Yes, that is her name and yes, she does have a sense of humor about it. Rachel designed my last logo as well (it’s on her website). She is so talented, a great listener and a lovely person to be around. If your brand needs some spiffing, she’s your girl.

In addition to work for businesses like me, she is also a very talented stationary and invitation designer. So brides, give her a call if you’re looking for a fresh, one of a kind, wow your guests, invitation design.

Next is the blog layout and design. It’s not that different from what I had before, but there are some fun new things to check out. I now have little badges up in the left hand corner that will take you directly to my Twitter Feed and Facebook page if you’re into all that social media fun (which I am. Try to pry my smart phone out of my hands – just try it. ). I am going to be doing some Facebook only announcements from time to time, so be sure to ‘Like’ me. You can also submit a contact form directly from the Facebook page. Yea technology!

You can also ‘like ‘a post straight from the blog. Just click on the ‘Like’ button that’s at the end of the post. It’s a great way to share photos.

There is also a new and improved contact form and feed subscription button in the menu at the top of the blog. You’re subscribed to my blog right? RIGHT?

That’s about it for now. I’m sure I’ll be futzing around making some minor tweaks in the weeks to come. I’ll be adding some galleries and more detailed information pages. There will also be some MAJOR changes to the structure of Shannon Cunningham Photography in the next few months. Don’t worry, I’ll still be shooting all the same stuff, it’s just going to be organized in a way that makes more sense for all of the different types of clients I serve. It’s going to be a fun summer around here!

XOXO

~Shannon

Austin Portrait Photographer: Cami and Debbie

On Saturday, I met Cami & Debbie. Cami had flown in from Florida to visit her mom on her birthday and wanted to create some portraits to celebrate her mom.

I had a blast with these ladies. It’s rare that I get to photograph adult children and their parents and these two are obviously close. They claimed they didn’t know what to do in front of the camera – but look at them! Hot tamales, both of them.

Thanks again Cami & Debbie! It was wonderful meeting you!
