Leslie + Ryan: Austin Wedding Photography

A winter wedding with two of the loveliest people I have ever met? Yes, please.

Leslie + Ryan’s beautiful winter wedding was a great way for me to finish off 2009. Leslie is a dream client. She is thoughtful, appreciative and a classic beauty. Ryan is a perfect match for her with his quiet, relaxed way. They are both a little quiet, but the way they light up around each other was a joy to witness. The two of them planned a timeless wedding. I loved how so many of these photos would have looked great 50 years ago and will look fabulous 50 years from now.

Becky and Stephanie from BZ Events made sure that the day ran smoothly (and also conquered a little bustle problem). Miss Tali was along for second shooting and was great as always.

Thank you so much for having me as your photographer. I enjoyed every bit of my time with you both!

Fun Resources!

I know that a slew of you lovely people just got engaged over the holiday season and for that I say ‘HOORAY!!!”. Even with the ever growing number of weddings I have been involved with, I always get a little flutter when I hear an engagement story or see a sparkly new ring. The Engagement is such a fun time and it goes by so quickly.

I thought I’d put together a few links for you that I find inspiring and/or fun. I LOVE looking at wedding blogs, seeing what the trends are and ooh and aah-ing over all the pretty details. There are a thousand ways to ruin your productivity at work between now and your wedding – here are some of my favorites.

Local Love: These blogs are all run by People/Companies in Austin. I love that the coordinator blogs I have listed not only show gorgeous real weddings they’ve worked on, but also include tips and tricks. These ladies KNOW stuff.

Lauren + Travis: Engaged

These two make my cheeks hurt from laughing. I enjoy my time with them soooo much. There are some clients that you just click with immediately and feel like old friends right away. Lauren and Travis are like that. They also are crazy about each other and are completely adorable (and don’t let them tell you otherwise!)

We met on a steamy fall morning (it was one of those September Texas mornings where you wondered if fall would ever get here) and had ourselves some fun. I can’t wait to shoot their wedding. Thanks you two!

Amanda + Timur: Austin Wedding Photographer

Oh this is a pretty one!

Amanda and Timur were married on a beautiful September day at Laguna Gloria. I know that an incredible amount of thought and care went into this wedding. At our first meeting, Amanda giddily pulled our her fabric swatches and couldn’t wait to tell me about her vision for her wedding day. All of the details incorporated the couple’s personal style, from the teapot centerpieces to ‘Tuksan’ Chili favors – a nod to the blending of two cultures. This wedding was a visual and emotional feast.

The wedding had a great team of vendors, coordinated beautifully by Becky Brock and Lorena Molina. A big thanks to Scott Stater, who second shot this wedding with me.
