Engagement | Jill and Matt

Hey remember how it didn’t rain allllll summer and then we had that one weekend where it poured?

Well that was the day that the darling Jill and Matt had scheduled their engagement session. They came in from out of town too. Boo weather! We tried our best, but didn’t quite get what we wanted so we rescheduled for a day that turned out to be extra beautiful.

The bonus side of our reschedule was that I got to spend a little extra time with these two. I am very much looking forward to their September wedding!

Austin Wedding Photographer | Emily and Trey

More engagement photos – MORE!!!!

Emily and Trey – there are many reasons I really, REALLY like them. They are another in a long line of amazingly cool 2011 clients. They were so sweet about little S. Emily has AMAZING taste in shoes. They both have the most incredible heads of hair. They love to talk about restaurants and food (I was so hungry by the time our session was over!) Emily and I bonded over the bad cup of coffee I got at a very prominent downtown coffee shop. They were so fun and positive about every idea I had and they also had some fun ideas of their own. They are just the coolest, most laid back, happy couple.

We were all over Austin on a Saturday morning and I couldn’t be happier with the result of our work!

Can. Not. Wait for the wedding in May!

Austin Wedding Photographer | Merrill and Blayne

Engagement session season is in full swing!! I have a week’s worth of love lined up for you!

Next up are the adorable Merrill and Blayne. We hit lots of spots around Austin and their classic style was perfect for each location. Ladies, note Merrill’s scarves! I love scarves for photos!

They are also easy to talk to (Merrill and I were in the same sorority – I KNEW I liked her the moment we met), laid back and generally just pleasant to be around. I loved that it was just a chatty, fun afternoon – there was never a lull in the conversation. I really enjoyed getting to know them better on a beautiful spring afternoon. They are planning a fall Wildflower Center wedding and it’s going to be just lovely – I can’t wait!

Lisa + Nick: Engaged

Lisa and Nick told me that they were awkward in front of the camera…OK. I’ll take awkward like this all day, any day. Lisa is from Chicago and has this delightful mid-western accent that reminds me of my family and Nick is a quiet soul from the south. They are quite good together and although I won’t be able to photograph their wedding in Houston next May, I am glad I got to be a part of their wedding preparations. Keep in touch you two and I’ll chat with you soon!
