Austin Engagement Photographer | Jill and Greg

So Jill and Greg are married and I am happily working away on their beautiful San Antonio Wedding photos, but my favorite sidekick Tali reminded me that I hadn’t blogged their engagement photos! To let all of you know, Tali, who second shoots lots of weddings with me, always stalks the blog for photos of the couples of the weddings she shoots with me. She’s awesome like that.

Also, I realize the blog has been slow with BIG wedding posts and that’s partially because I am a busy bee and also partially because a lot of your gorgeous weddings are going to be published in print and in blogs (and a few others are under consideration) and they have asked me to keep things under wraps until the publishing happens. It’s all very exciting, but I do feel like I’m neglecting the ol blog. So a bit of patience while I work through the backlog, please.

In the meantime, let’s look at cute Greg and Jill, one of my most stylish couples of 2012 so far.  They both live out of town, so scheduling was difficult and then the first day we scheduled, it rained and rained and rained, so I was so happy that we got this amazing crisp morning with glorious light for our reschedule. They are great and their wedding was an amazing destination weekend in San Antonio. I can’t wait to show you the full story!

Austin Wedding Photographer | Merrill and Blayne

Hooray! Merrill and Blayne!! These two are some of my favorites, both as individuals and as a couple. They were married at The Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center in a romantic night-time ceremony.

I had an instant connection with Merrill when I met her. I’m so glad she and Blayne chose me to photograph their wedding because we spent several afternoons laughing and having fun during their planning. I’ve said many times that Merrill has the most infectious smile that I know and Blayne is sweet and tons of fun. He also busted out the dance moves at the reception, which I always appreciate.

Merrill and Blayne opted for a first look since their ceremony was at night. As usual, it was a great choice and the whole wedding party had tons of fun playing out in the fields. The ceremony was softly lit, meaningful and beautiful. The reception that followed was a huge celebration and even a blown fuse only stopped the party for a few minutes. Merrill left the reception in her Grandmother’s vintage fur which was to die.

Thanks so much to Merrill and Blayne and their families for having me along for such a fun year. Best of everything to you both.

Austin Engagement Photographer | Kristen & Brad

Kristen and Brad are incredibly fun and make me smile bunches. We spent a windy, but gorgeous day all around Austin shooting their engagement photos. What we didn’t realize was that Austin Comic-Con was also going on just down the street from where we were shooting. We saw all kinds of more weird than normal Austin-ites out and about. You’ll see one of my favorites a few photos down.

They will be married this May at Riverbend Chapel followed by a reception at Kristen’s family home, which I cannot wait to photograph. Everyone I’ve met that has a part in the wedding (mom, sister, Grandma, Brad, Kristen) has just been awesome and I’m so excited to see how everything comes together for an amazing wedding day.

Thanks you two! See you soon!
