Austin Engagement Photographer | Kelli + Noah

Oooh I love this one.

There are several things you should know about Kelli and Noah. First of all, they have been nothing but a pleasure to work with since the day they booked me. Truly just lovely people inside and out. Secondly, I ask lots of questions to try and figure out what type of locations we’ll use when shooting an engagement session. Kelli told me that her a Noah share ‘A love of the outdoors, fitness and desserts.’ Awesome! Thirdly, I LOVE LOVE LOVE everything they both wore for this session. Check it out – pops of color, layering, great accessories. They coordinated but didn’t match. Just perfection. Fourthly, and most importantly, the two of them have this unbeatable chemistry and are just plain delighted to be around each other. They make me smile.

They will be getting married next Spring at The Wild Onion Ranch and I can’t wait! It’s going to be a great wedding.

Oh and as a random side note, Kelli is a ‘pinner’on Pinterest. I am too and we were able to share some ideas about the session through our Pinterest Boards. It worked out wonderfully.

Paris Meets Austin Engagement | Aurelie and Jared

I love these two.

Here’s the deal – Aurelie is French, Jared is American. They met in Pennsyvania, courted while Aurelie was living in Germany and then moved to Austin. Easy, right?

They love their adopted city and will be getting married here later in the summer. Aurelie is also one of my daughter’s preschool teachers, so while I love her, I can tell you my daughter loves her even more, which makes her very important to our whole family. She taught my daughter to speak French! Jared and I got to know each other stumbling through French class (we’re both still pretty bad). As a pair, they are fun and stylish and a pure delight to be around.

As a wedding in France wasn’t in the cards, we  wanted to incoporate some French flair into the session. Did you know there is a 1/50th scale replica of the Eiffel Tower in Austin? Well, now you do. Plus we hit up one of the yummiest French bakeries in town for coffee and croissants. As these two love living in Austin, we also wanted to incorporate our vibrant city and their 78704 home. I even got to meet thier cat, George.

I couldn’t be happier with these photos and the fact that I get to shoot the wedding in just over a month! Aurelie and Jared, you are the best. See you soon!

Austin Engagement Photographer | Krishna and Leonard

Another one of my lovely out of town couples!

Krishna and Leonard came in from Houston to shoot their portraits and we had a beautiful (though windy – I’m kind of over the wind) evening to walk around town. These two are  outdoorsy/travellers/food lovers and just all around fun. We had a great meeting the first time we met and this evening was just an extension of that. Good times, good conversation – just how I like it! I am very much looking forward to their Fall Hamilton Twelve wedding this year.

Austin Wedding Photographer | Jennifer and Allen

Jennifer and Allen are getting married later this year in Dallas, but live here in Austin. They wanted to incorporate baseball into their photos as Allen is a baseball coach and it is a huge part of their lives. We met out at Disch-Falk field and had the run of the place.  I have to hand it to both of them – it’s not easy having your photo taken when a bunch of your collegues are hanging around and these two did a great job!

Thanks for allowing me to get out on the field (err.. field turf)! It was a great morning!

Kristin + Nik: Austin Engagement Photographer

When you see a certain flower that is in this part of Texas for a very specific time period, you will know how behind I am in blogging.

My slow blogging does not mean I love these two any less though. Kristin and Nik and I had a great time during their engagement session. We battled traffic on South Congress during first Thursday, wind, the threat of rain – pretty much a full plate of drama as far as shoots go.  It didn’t matter how weird the circumstance, though, these two were calm and trusted in me.  They are so lovely together. I think you’ll agree.

I can’t wait for your fall wedding! Thanks to Barbara of Barbara’s Brides for bringing us together. (Aren’t we all dreaming of fall this time of year?)
