Timeless Wedding Images for the Modern Bride and Groom. Austin, Texas and beyond

Merrill and Blayne’s Wildflower Center wedding is one in a loooong line of things on my ‘To Blog’ list, but as I was preparing their slideshow, I kept coming back to this adorbale picture drawn for them by their Flower Girl, Abby. I just thought it was the cutest and used it as a prop in one of the ring shots. Nice work Abby!!

And here is Miss Abby tearing it up on the dancefloor with several members of the wedding party. Nice!

What a lovely Friday treat!
Style Me Pretty has featured Chris and Erica’s Wildflower Center wedding this morning! This is a delightful couple and was a great team of vendors (which you can find below).
Loved. This. Wedding.
Pop on over and tell them how fabulous they look.

Happy Monday!
I love the Wildflower Center in the spring! Really, I love it anytime, but it shines like a diamond in the spring and is an incredibly beautiful backdrop for a wedding.
Erica and Chris picked a surprisingly warm, but gorgeous day for their wedding. All day long, there were scattered thunderstorm warnings and Bethany from 36th Street Events and I were huddled around her phone looking at the radar. Despite rain all around us, there was not a drop during the ceremony and reception. We had a little bubble of clear sky around this event and I think the weather was a reflection of this couple; clear and calm and warm and sunny.
It has been a lovely process getting to know these two over the last year. They are in graduate school on College Station and this summer will graduate, start new (amazing, I’m sure) jobs and continue their life together. As I scrolled through the photos, I always noticed how ‘right’ these two seemed together. They fit together in that ‘of course’ kind of way and it makes me very happy.
Thank you so much for choosing me to work with you Chris and Erica! I have enjoyed every step.
Big thanks to Tali for second shooting and the impeccable work by Bethany and her team from 36th Street Events.
There will be an extended gallery on the Facebook page later today and the couple’s full wedding gallery can be seen here within 2 weeks.

Chris and Erica had a sophisticated, romantic, emotional and FUN wedding last night at the Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center. There will be SO much more to come from this lovely day, but first a Sunday Sneak Peek.
This was about 15 seconds after they were married – I like how Ladybird is smiling at them in that photo in the background.

You can DIY and add amazing details all you want, but there is one detail you can’t control on your wedding day and that is the sky. I always like to take a photo of the sky above your wedding day. It’s an extra little momento from the day. This one is from Elizabeth and Martin’s Wildflower Center wedding.
